Michigan Midwives Association
Founded in 1979, the Michigan Midwives Association (MMA) is a non- profit corporation governed by an often pushy and always proud Board of Directors. This network of midwives, apprentices, and childbirth educators serves to facilitate communication, provide education, encourage collaboration between midwives and other healthcare professionals, and maintain affiliation with local and national organizations. MMA offers bi-annual conferences in Michigan providing educational and informational workshops, peer review for midwives, networking opportunities, promotional resources including our website www.michiganmidwives.org, an annual Directory of Midwifery Services, and Expectations, a quarterly newsletter for members.
