MANA presented an Outstanding Leadership Award to Peggy Garland, outgoing Director of the Administrative Section of the MANA Division of Research

"Thank you Peggy for your amazing leadership in forming the Midwives Alliance Division of Research into a vital, thriving, and respected entity. We appreciate your clear vision, hard work, excellent guidance, and steadfast perseverance."

MANA presented another Outstanding Leadership Award to Mary Lawlor:

"Thank you Mary for providing strong leadership to the MAMA Campaign Steering Committee. Since the beginning of the campaign, your devotion to including CPMs in Health Care Reform has been extraordinary. Thank you for being such a strong voice for us on Capitol Hill."

MANA also presented an Outstanding Leadership Award to Susan Hodges (who was unable to attend MANA 2009)

"Thank you Susan for providing such strong leadership to the MAMA Campaign Steering Committee. Your voice for midwifery supporters has been steady and powerful. Thank you for your devotion to birth choices for families in this country."
