Midwives Alliance Town Hall: Re-Imagining the Future of Clinical Midwifery Training

Thursday, February 11, 2016 - 7:00pm to 8:00pm

Please join us as we launch MANA's new virtual Town Hall Series. We are eager to hear your voices, wisdom and vision as we look to the future of Midwives Alliance and midwifery. We are hosting a series of facilitated, interactive and webinar-based town hall meetings every other month in 2015. Future topics include proposed bylaws amendments, the needs of the midwifery student, and creating valuable services for Midwives Alliance members. We hope to see you there!

Please save the date and join us for our first Town Hall on Wednesday February 11th from 7-8pm EST for a lively and collective discussion facilitated by Amy Smith, MANA Director of Professional Development and Treesa McLean, MANA Director of Public Affairs. We need your input and creativity to create a virtual vision board for the bright and thriving future for clinical midwifery training. Please bring your ideas, experience and sense of adventure as we combine our thoughts to re-imagine clinical midwifery training! Midwives, students, educators, and advocates . . . all are welcome! If you are interested in joining us please email Amy at profdevelopment@mana.org, or for more details follow our Facebook event.

Thursday, March 24, 2016 - 3:00pm to 4:00pm

Please join us as we follow up our recent Town Hall about the "Midwifery Student Bill of Rights". We really enjoyed listening to the Town Hall participants and were inspired to continue this conversation! We know there has been controversy about the bill of rights and we want to hear more. Come with your thoughts and questions...we look forward to hearing from midwifery students, aspiring students, preceptors, educators and more. Do you use the Student Bill of Rights in your relationship with your preceptor or students? Do you think that a Student Bill of Rights would clarify the role of student and preceptors?

You can find out more about the "Midwifery Student Bill of Rights" here.

Save the date and join us for another webinar discussion on Tuesday March 24th from 3-4:00PM EDT! You can register here.
