The Foundation for the Advancement of Midwifery awarded almost $40,000 in grants this year. MANA projects including Division of Research, Communications, Health Policy and Advocacy, and Division of Access and Equity received support in the categories of Health Equity, Public Policy, Public Education and Research. Other recipients this year include Home Birth Summit, Ancient Song Doula Services, California Association of Midwives and Commonsense Childbirth.
FAM: Highlighting Role of Black Midwives; Increasing Birth Equity

To honor Black History Month, Midwives Alliance encourages midwives and supporters to learn about and elevate the contributions and history of midwives of African ancestry. The Foundation for the Advancement of Midwifery (FAM) is using social media to highlight midwifery students, practicing midwives, and those who have come before.
