Saraswathi Vedam, RM, FACNM, MSN, Sci D (h.c.), is Associate Professor in the Division of Midwifery at the University of British Columbia. She serves as Chair of the multidisciplinary Steering Committee for the Home Birth Consensus Summit, Senior Advisor to the Midwives Alliance of North America Division of Research, and serves on the Steering Council for the International Normal Labour and Birth Research Conference series. She is principal investigator of the Canadian Birth Place Study, a national CIHR funded study of maternity care provider experiences with planned home birth.

Laura Schummers, BSc, PhD student, is a Research Consultant with the Division of Midwifery, University of British Columbia, and a student in the Epidemiology Department at the Harvard School of Public Health.

Kathrin Stoll, BA, MA, PhD, is a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Division of Midwifery, University of British Columbia, and part time lecturer with the European Master of Science in Midwifery Program. She has expertise in quantitative methods and has been actively involved in midwifery research for the past 7 years.

Colleen Fulton, BA, MA, BMW student is a midwifery student and Research Assistant at the Midwifery Program at the University of British Columbia.
